Charles Edwards, a native of Fair Bluff, NC, was introduced to the world of business and accounting through his family's ownership of B.H. Small Co., a local hardware store. He began his career with S. Preston Douglas & Associates as an intern in the summer of 2024 and now supports the firm primarily in audit engagements, as well as in tax and bookkeeping services.

Personally

When asked what his favorite hobby is, Charles said it is writing and playing music, especially improvisational jazz. I’ve had the opportunity to perform at speakeasies in downtown Wilmington, and I continue to pursue my passion by serving as the Music Director at my hometown church, Fair Bluff Baptist.

When discussing his favorite movie he said, "I’m not afraid to geek out and say The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (Extended Edition). It’s part of a legendary trilogy I’d recommend to anyone, no matter your taste. It’s got a little something for everyone!
